Members of the Rotary Club of LaGrange, Kiwanis Club and Lions Club join local business owners to provide coffee and treats for hospital workers.

Local civic organizations and businesses came together to offer a helping hand to LaGrange’s WellStar hospital workers.

Members of the Rotary Club of LaGrange joined with members from LaGrange’s Lions and Kiwanis Clubs to offer support to the WellStar hospital staff. Due to the coronavirus WellStar had to close their coffee shop leaving their staff without coffee and snacks to help them get through these difficult times. The three civic organizations donated funds to purchase coffee, ice cream and popsicles to help boost the morale and energy of the hospital staff members.

Kiwanis Club President Dale Jackson and member Patrick Crews, Lions Club member Larkin Dorset and Rotary Club Immediate Past President Susan Ferguson all played key roles in bringing the three clubs together for this project. Ferguson has also started a prayer chain which Rotary members have been asked to join to give further support through this health crisis.

Special thanks must also go out to the local business owners of Harvest Coffee, Dairy Queen and Frios for providing the refreshments for the hospital staff.
