Roswell Rotary Now an Evening Club Too!

Roswell Rotary Club (RRC) launched the Roswell Rotary After Hours Satellite Club (RRAH) on March 1! With a committed group of RRC leadership, invitations focused on young professionals in the area but also included former members and others that could not meet for lunch on Thursdays. The initial RRAH meeting welcomed nearly 30 professionals to The Artillery Room at Gate City in Roswell (owned by Roswell Rotarians) where everyone mingled and then learned more about Rotary. In addition, the attendees brought Clorox wipes that were donated to a local school, because "Connect to Serve" is the focus of this satellite club.

We have accepted 15 applications for membership so far and anticipate inducting them in April.  This satellite club expands the reach of Roswell Rotary not only by age and meeting time but also by sphere of influence. President Terry Taylor recently stated, “This started as a thought that has grown into a very exciting and viable addition for Roswell Rotary.  We hope it is repeated throughout the District.”

Editor's Note: As DG Mary said at District Training Assembly on Saturday, Satellite Clubs offer a great creative opportunity to expand our reach. The RRAH is the second satellite club in District 6900 - the Rotary Club of Stone Mountain started the first.
