Roswell has five pre-Civil war homes that provide not
only a “living history” for tourists and residents but also have been found by
the exploding movie industry! These homes were not burned to the ground when
Sherman marched through in 1864 because both Roswell King (a Roswell founder) and
General Sherman were Masons. Therefore,
the homes were spared and open to visitors today. Bulloch Hall needed some
sprucing. Over two weekends, more than 20 Roswell Rotarians pressure-washed, repaired and painted the fence while others reshaped
the landscape with pruning, weeding and general clean-up.
It was a work project with
our families and prospective members included.
