At the District Conference at Jekyll Island, Dan had 1142 registrants in attendance. With assistance from PDG and former RI Director, Pratt Secrest, there were two very special guests at the conference; RI President -Elect Clem Renouf from Australia, and Herb Brown, from Florida, the RI President -Elect for the year 1995-96. Dan chartered the Marietta Metro Club on May 18, 1978, sponsored by the Marietta Club. Dan retired shortly after his year as governor, and moved to Columbus where he is serving the club as Executive Secretary.
