Rotary Year 1962 — 1963

George set as his goal for the year “Growth in Rotary”, but reminded all clubs that growth must come while maintaining strict adherence to the Rotary membership principles of selective, qualified leaders in business and professional classifications. The district had a 10 percent growth in membership during the year. The district increased contributions to the Rotary Foundation by 150 percent. George placed heavy emphasis on club management and stressed attendance at the District Conference. He had 100 percent representation of all clubs at the conference.
