This Week's Meeting: Rotary Youth Exchange Scholarship Students

This week we are featuring Rotary Youth Exchange with our two scholarship students: Yasmeen Herb and Henry O'Connor. We will get a chance to hear from each of them and get an early view of their upcoming adventure.

Record Dunwoody Diners event

Dunwoody Dinners met for its final gathering during the 2016-2017 rotary year on 06/03/17. A record 18 people had dinner together at Carbonara, with 3 more Rotarians joining the group to see the Stage Door Players presentation of Boeing Boeing.

Part of the benefit of attending the Dunwoody Diners Event is having the opportunity to meet other Rotarians along with their life partners. You alsoget the chance to have an extended conversation, and really get to know other Rotarians.

In addition, we collect $5 from each person attending that goes to the Dunwoody Rotary Charitable Fund (DRCF). During 2016-2017 we raised $180.

Those that were able to participate in the 06/03/17 event were:

    Louise Barden and Ron
    Roy Ethridge and Franci
    Chris Gutschenritter and Jane
    Anne Hayden
    Ken Levy and Sherri
    Rick Otness and Maureen
    Mike Parks and Claudio
    Tina Philpot and David
    George Stewart and Amy
    Carter Stout and Mary Carol
    Rick Woods and Marilyn

The next event for Dunwoody Diners (the first of the 2017-2018 year) will be a tailgate party on Saturday July 8th at the Gwinnett Braves Game. Details will be published soon. For now tentatively plan on arriving at about 4 PM.

URGENT! Volunteers needed to avoid Cancellation of Projects for 2017-2018

Five legacy programs/projects are scheduled to be suspended (i.e. be given a Parking Lot status) and will therefore not occur during the 2017-2018 Rotary year, unless someone steps forward by Monday (June 5th). The 2017-2018 Board is having an organizational meeting on the 6th of June, and plans for which activities will be scheduled for 2017-2018 year will be decided at that meeting. If you have a strong desire to see any of these projects occur, you should consider stepping forward now.
